AI marketing: from brief to publication
AI can organise topics, prepare drafts and create variations. A useful marketing workflow starts with your offer and your customers’ questions. Here is what a brief should include, what needs checking and how to evaluate the result.
1. A usable brief
For a newsletter about a new service, AI needs more than a keyword. Provide the audience, benefits, verifiable product information, tone and intended action. Include examples of your existing writing. Do not pass confidential customer information to an external service without checking.
2. Review and approve drafts
The brief could produce a newsletter draft and two subject lines. Check claims, prices, links and brand voice. For website content, use real customer questions and your own information rather than copying the same text for many keywords. A designated person approves the version before it is sent or published.
3. Measure impact separately from effort
Decide what should improve before starting. Spending less time drafting is a different goal from receiving more qualified enquiries. Compare drafting time, revision effort and the relevant result in your chosen channel. Account for changes in offers, budgets and audiences. AI alone does not guarantee reach or sales.
Prepare your marketing project
- Which offer and audience are you focusing on?
- Which channels and tools do you already use?
- Which information is approved, and who reviews the content?
- Which result will you measure, and what will you compare it with?
